CHAMPION OF THE MONTH: Shaun Stoffels
Shaun has been working with JOHNEX on a number of customer's sites around WA as a shotfirer and/or MPU operator.
On arriving at a blast pattern, Shaun noticed a drill was operating well within the exclusion zone of a loaded blast hole. Shaun immediately stopped the work, notified the supervisor and quarry manager of his observations. Shaun's decision to intervene, stop the work and fix the issue would have taken real conviction, especially as an outside contractor.Well done Shaun, living up to JOHNEX’s focus on safety, your actions may have prevented a terrible tragedy.
