Who do you turn to when you have 120,000 tonnes of ore to release undergound, a blast design that entails hundreds of 89mm up-holes up to 50m long and just 7 days to pump almost 50t of emulsion.
Mission impossible?
Not for JOHNEX explosives Mighty Pump 5000. A Normet mounted mobile pumping unit capable of filling 50m upholes quickly and efficiently. The JOHNEX team were ably assisted by local electronic detonator supplier Davey Bickford ENAEX who supplied and programmed the 570 detonators required for this stope. The blast went off perfectly to plan, bringing 120,000 tonnes of ore down with excellent fragmentation.
