On Saturday 1st December 2018, we announced the winners of the annual RJ (Dick) Johnson Award. The winner for 2018 is TRACEY O'ROURKE - CHARTERS TOWERS

Tracey fulfils the Supply Officer role in Charters Towers, QLD, and has been employed by JOHNEX explosives since July 2017. In such a short time, Tracey has entrenched herself into the team and become a much valued member.

Tracey received multiple nominations throughout the year from almost all of her colleagues in Charters Towers as well as being recognised by others outside of the Plant. Each of Tracey's nominations confirmed her bubbly and approachable personality, her professionalism in everything she takes on and her can-do attitude through her willingness to take on any task put to her. Since Tracey joined the Charters Towers team, she has found ways to introduce functionality and improvements to the running of the office and the way stock control is organised, making for a much more efficient production plant. Tracey even stepped up in the absence of her Plant Manager and Plant Supervisor at the same time, demonstrating her initiative and her abilities in getting on and getting the job done.

Above everything, what shone through loud and clear in the comments received, was how trusted and respected Tracey is amongst her colleagues, making her a deserving recipient of the R J (DICK) JOHNSON - JOHNEX CORE VALUE CHAMPION Trophy.
